If you want to lower the tire pressure to 25 Psi for unloaded transport that is fine.
Check all lug nuts before departing.
Never tow with a bumper ball, use a properly designed hitch system. Make certain that the coupler is securely tightened.
Your “EZE-TOW” Tow Dolly requires very little maintenance.
The Disc brakes never need adjusting but they will wear out. If you do not change them in time the rotors will be damaged. As the pads wear down the brake fluid needs to be topped up with DOT 3 or 4. Be sure to re attach the caps correctly.
LOADING & UNLOADING
It is very important that the car tow dolly is on a level stable surface. Not ground.
The dolly coupler should be between 12 to 16 inches off the ground to the bottom of the coupler. 14 inches works for most people. Be very careful not to drive off the front of the car tow dolly, it is hard to do but it is a mess to correct.
Your car should be centered to the car tow dolly and aligned straight to the dolly. place your ramps in front of the car tires so they are centered on the tires. the ramps should be secured to the car tow dolly. Drive up the ramps slowly but steadily with one foot over the brake pedal.
After you are on the car tow dolly drive up very slowly until both tires are touching on the steel upright on the front of the dolly. Apply your brake so the dolly cannot roll off. Now apply the wheel straps. Check all your lights.
Release the brake. If you are towing a car with a locking steering column leave the key set to accessory and the car will tow and turn just fine. Before letting out onto the big road try a few swerves and stops before going.
Your Tow Dolly is equipped with the new “SureGrip” galvanized steel ramps. They weigh about 15 lbs each and are 40 inches long and 9 inches wide. They are rated for 1500 lbs per ramp, the total allowed weight over the tow dolly axle.
The ramps have a very aggressive tread and gloves are recommended. Be sure to properly bolt the ramps in place. Should they come off in transit it would be a serious road hazard for the following traffic.
Your EZE-TOW Tow Dolly is equipped with internally balanced tires and wheels. No need to ever balance the tires. We now use the new Balancing Beads technology found on high end RVs.
Check your wheel nuts regularly. The wheel nuts should be torque to 75 Ft lbs. Not less, Not more.
BE VERY CAREFUL WHILE BACKING UP WITH A LOADED TOW DOLLY!
